Purpose

Explain how technicians use our core software tools to manage jobs, reports, and communication.

ServiceM8 – Field Use

  1. Open job → read notes/photos → start timer.
  2. Send “On the way” SMS; confirm scope on arrival; add photos before/after.
  3. Log products used, areas treated, batch/lot if required.
  4. Mark job as complete; send summary/invoice; take payment if applicable.

Formitize – Reports & Forms

  • Use the correct template (Pest Inspection, Termite Inspection, Treatment Record, Baiting Monitor, Barrier Handover).
  • Add clear photos (landscape, well-lit) and concise recommendations.
  • Export PDF and attach to the ServiceM8 job.

Microsoft Teams – Tech Room

  • Post questions, job issues, and safety alerts in the Technicians room.
  • Keep messages concise; tag your Team Leader for urgent matters; use calls for immediate escalation.

Naming Conventions & Data Quality

  • Photos: Address-Area-Before/After (e.g., 10SmithSt-Kitchen-Before.jpg).
  • Notes: bullet points with dates; include client requests and agreements.
  • Never store client data on personal devices longer than necessary.
